Ritual Genie 3.0 has an ESP32. Was able to successfully flash it with #esphome. This makes it to an BT proxy as well 💪 and power #homeassistant while it makes a nice smelling flavor.

Will work to provide an firmware with automatic update for gen 2 and 3 to power the #OpenHome

I'd like to switch to Home Assistant, but still hesitant. Anyone wanna convince me?

Been watching for a couple years. Home Assistant Green is promising but I still get the feeling it'll be way more technical than I want. I won't code, I won't "tinker". I'm fine with the initial setup and adjusting routines or preferences, but after that it needs to just work. Also, no barriers around which devices I can use "out-of-the-box". For me, this means that I won't be installing additional apps or creating other accounts for any reason. Must work inside the Home Assistant app (Android) for everything. I expect this is possible with the Matter/ZigBee dongle, but I've had issues with some Matter devices in the past and I'm hesitant. Probably seems like a high bar for some, but I feel this is the minimum baseline for a smart home experience and I feel they're reasonable expectations. Ready? Go!

No conocía el concepto #openhome. La traducción al castellano sería algo así como “hogar abierto”.

Se trata de una _jornada de puertas abiertas_, orientada a hogares. Estas visitas no se producen porque exista un interés en la compra de la vivienda, sino una mera curiosidad de conocer donde otras personas viven.

¿Sabéis de algún lugar en España que se lleve a cabo esta práctica? Me da la sensación que somos recelosos de nuestra privacidad y no queremos que extraños entren a fisgonear nuestra intimidad.
