At the weekly tea for soldiers held at the Wellington YMCA headquarters last night the hostesses were members of the New Zealand Chinese Association. NZCA Secretary Mr William Wah stressed the importance of Sino-British understanding & fellowship. Wing Commander White spoke appreciatively of the Chinese nation. Guests included Mr & Mrs E. I came out of retirement for the night, to catch up with a couple of old friends with their new band - they thought I would hate it, as it was completely different to everything I knew them for with previous bands, but they were dazzlingly good.
