Thank to you Alert Listener Phil Z for sending a huge envelope of old radio station bumper stickers to decorate the walls of our studio in #McKeesport including some from McKeesport's late, lamented WIXZ (1360).

I'm going to put these on my car and see if I can win a Plymouth Barracuda.

Apparently this morning's project is wget’ing a bunch of retired web pages from an old WNYC show (Studio 360), pulling out the links to mp3s, and downloading them. All because the podcast feed only goes back three years instead of covering all 20+ years.

Why? Because there are interesting conversations.

Looks like The Fishko Files are after that.

Tefifon

No more space in my attic.

Thus I have to give away my Tefifon with 6 cassettes, preferrably to a collector or sort of museum.

The device is located in Germany, Nether Bavaria, Passau. I don´t know if it works yet, because since two years it is placed in a not temperature controlled cellar.

In meinem Keller ist kein Platz mehr.

Daher gebe ich mein #Tefifion inkl. sechs Cassetten in kompetente Hände ab. Der Preis ist mir weniger wichtig als Ort und Person. Am liebsten wäre mir, wenn es in einer Art Ausstellung stünde. Standort ist derzeit Landkreis Passau. Da es seit ca. zwei Jahren in einem ungeheizten Keller steht, weiß ich nicht, ob es noch einwandfrei funktioniert.

Repair & restoration of a #RobertsRadio R500 from the early #1960s. Had to replace 3 sick #Germanium AF117 transistors with the dreaded "whiskers" problem, & realign the IF stage. Good sound if you're content with #midcentury LO-FI.

A restored Philips BG151U valve radio of the 1950s, for that lovely nostalgic warm AM sound. Lots of work, but well worth it.
