Found out I gained weight but at least I got some sleep at last

Saturday, I started very early. Like, 3 am early after another night of not all that much sleep.
I weighed myself, which was somewhat depressing as I gained 4 lbs (that’s 1.8Kg or just shy of a two-litre bottle of water).
For the past few weeks, I’ve been pushing myself to deal with all the stuff left in my dad’s home after his passing in the first week of this year. My sleep has been suffering.
Saturday, as well as getting up early because I was awake, I did very little. I treated myself to a day of gaming and chilling. About 4 pm, I felt tired (no shocker there), so I went for a nap. To my delight, I woke up at midnight.
Now, I’m a bit stiff as I did not take my usual pre-sleep medication that stops my neck from locking up. However, I feel pretty good. My aches and stiffness are well within what I can address with the stretches they taught me last year.
I think I know the cause of my weight gain. I treated myself to a big bag of dark chocolate covered ginger. I made it last, just a little each day. I guess the added sugar load (and the four or five days without anything to keep my blood sugar under control) probably are to blame.
Time to get back on the wagon. After all, there’s no point failing at two things.
