Very good solar today for October and on top of last nights excellent Agile rate we covered the electricity we did use. Didn’t cover the standing charge. They’re good rates tonight as well. Might be worth a force discharge.

I’ve just ordered a new 3.2kWh battery. That means we will have 3x 3.2kWh Greenlinx batteries. My installer was having a sale. Normal price £3,500 + VAT. Sale price £2,400, including VAT and installation.
I should now be able to force discharge during the peak export rates. It might be too later for this year, but didn’t want to miss the sale.

No sun to export in August. How mad is this UK weather?
Just got an email from #OctopusEnergy to tell me my previous supplier #EonNext did not cancel my FIT tariff and they have had to remove my #OctopusAgileExport tariff.
To be fair they have credited my account with my export so far so I am not out of pocket. Now I have to wait for Eon to sort it out so I can reapply for my export tariff again.
Yesterday was best profit day. Not even the best best kWh day. I have decided to make sure iBoost doesn’t kick in during the best export times. It is all about timings.

Well that wasn’t a bad week. After the week before where we spent over a pound on two days (I know, hardly bad) this week we have spent nothing and made a 50p profit. This comes to you via #OctopusWatch. It includes the standing charge.
If you look closely it still includes last Sunday which wasn’t the best. Nice to see #OctopusAgileExport is making a difference. Certainly better than the flat export rate some suppliers offer.
A major update to Octopus Watch. It now has weather data and you can re-organise the the Home Screen cards. Gas is also now fully supported.
I am now on the Octopus Agile Export tariff so I can see that as well.
