bazcurtisI finally got our daily electricity cost graph working in Home Assistant! 📈 Plotly can be a steep learning curve, but a little Claude help made this visualisation happen. The biggest issue I had was calculating the export savings.

Manuel Altherr@Sektorenkoppler Das würde ich liebend gerne machen, leider lässt #OctopusEnergy sich unnötig Zeit mit dem Smart Meter. Seit über einem Monat ist eigentlich von allen Seiten alles vorbereitet und im System. Nur bei Octopus Energy noch nicht. Dabei schimpfen sie immer auf die anderen 🤷

A-nom-nom-nom-aly BSC SSCA heads up to anyone with Octopus in the UK for their energy.
If you're on the agile tariff which fluctuates daily depending on renewables... Tomorrow is a bumper day.
From around 11pm tonight, until 4pm tomorrow... the price has gone negative.
This means, for every kwh of energy you import and use, they will pay you the corresponding fee.
Sadly... I'm not on this one, but i do follow the prices, to see if it would work for me... But until I can sort out proper home automation (given that setting up the raspberry pi has quadrupled in price recently, so... unlikely). it's not worth switching.
