I don't think they were fond of the tag, but this was Post-Rock at it's peak, and this was only their first album!

Mike's been working with the band for years, taking part in the Family shows, and has been a huge fan since forever. This is a dream job for him. It was obvious he was going to be involved, but we had no idea to this extent.

Had a person recommend to me #Oceansize band last weekend, and just now getting around to listening and man - they weren't kidding. I'm getting #mogwai vibes for sure (they said Oceansize was influenced a lot by Mogwai) but also getting a tinge of #RATM and others. They are filed under #postgrunge which is interesting. All in all - great band - highly recommended.

Oceansize - that phenomenal Manchester-based prog-rock band from the Aughties & Naughties - announced that their third album 'Frames' is getting a vinyl re-release!
It's the last full album of theirs that I don't yet have on vinyl, so I'm looking forward to completing my collection in December when it gets delivered.

To answer the author's question "which album would you want to listen to again for the first time?", I'd probably say Isis's 'Panopticon' or 'The Fragile' by Nine Inch Nails.
Oceansize - Everyone into Position, a classic blast from the mid-noughties (2005 to be exact).
The album was originally released on black vinyl and there was also a reissue in 2011. The version in the photo is the 2022 reissue on a gloriously bright yellow splatter! You knew I was going to buy the splatter version, didn’t you!
