One of our important #DFO #science partners is #OceanNetworks. They deploy instruments and maintain the datasets important to the study of the Ocean's habitat and #ecology. One of the tools they are deploying are ARGO "robot" profilers, which autonomously move up and down in the water column, measuring temperature and salinity and sometimes other sensors for oxygen or particulates. There are about 3850 #ARGO floats worldwide! #oceanography
