After about a year of #logseq use, I think I am ready to abandon it. The performance has just become soo bad with a not-that-big graph that I simply don't think that it will scale.

I was contemplating returning to #ObsidianMD , but I found what I think is a good option, #AnyType , that keeps tw privacy focus. It is very similar to notion (what I don't necessarily enjoy), but the native P2P sync and the customizability of the app sold me.

I am not switching fully yet, and will try it out before Uni starts to get a feeling for it. But if it feels good, I will switch fully.

Après quelques mois, finalement je lache FeedLy, car je viens d'installer RSS Dashboard dans mon Obsidain. C'est juste excellent, integré à mon second cerveau, en local, etc. Pourquoi ne l'ai-je pas installer plus tot ?!!

If you are like me who is annoyed by the 'New' button in Bases (right next to the Sort/Filter/Properties buttons, doing something else), this css snippet is for you:

.bases-toolbar-new-item-menu {
display: none !important;
}

I found this on reddit and thought I would share. A neat and interesting way to integrate Claude Code not only in Obsidian, but Obsidian mobile, as well. I've already successfully tested running it in Obsidian on my iPad. Neat! #ObsidianMD #Claude #iPadOS

Todays #ObsidianMD plugin feature: TODO Triage. It walks you through your obvious overflow of TODOs and IDEAs, and lets you quickly read and reassign them. Not quite pixel perfect yet, but nicely functional.

HackMD

Hacking at a blog editor (as a Hugo plugin for Obsidian) that uses an LLM to score writing. This is a proof of concept, but it already shows some potential. Obsidian is fantastically nice to write plugins for.

The act of organizing your vault alone is an act of learning how you think. If I spend too much time obsessing about systems and not actually learning or writing (the primary use for my vault), something is wrong.

That said, I do use AI on my vault but very lightly. I like to query my notes with AI. For example I ask AI for patterns of behavior in my 2026 notes about life and work. I ask it to notice what bottlenecks seem to appear again and again. It has been invaluable.

But I won't use LLMs to organize my vault or input stuff. That takes the fun out of Obsidian.

"The question is whether the bottleneck you’re experiencing is actually a tool problem."

Claude Code Won't Fix Your Life

Claude Code can now read and write to local file systems. You can point it at your Obsidian vault and suddenly you have an AI that “knows” everything you’ve ever written. Noah Brier runs it on a home server and connects via VPN from his phone. Bloggers have documented

I like my setup more than PARA.

PARA means splitting your notes into: Project, Area, Resource, Archive

I much prefer:
1. Zettelkasten
2. Projects
3. Collections

I wrote about my setup in more detail: https://bryanhogan.com/blog/obsidian-vault

I'm also learning as I go when it comes to Obsidian. This program is amazing at helping me track things and I'm just using the free version. I've got plugins that I'm testing out for my needs, as well as learning how to create a DM screen. I'd use pre-made mods in FoundryVTT, but since this is my own system there really isn't one that fits all my needs. I am still using FoundryVTT but that is for the gameplay, dice rolling, combat, and the general use of token placements.
