And of course, getting compound interest on the query language. 😅 #obsidian bases build on that query language foundation.

Say you are like me. You like to write a review for the day. To offload what you did, remember what you didn't get done, and figure out how to improve. 😎

And say you want to have a weekly review that at least aggregates those notes. Obsidian bases can facilitate just that. 😁

I think I found a reasonable explanation why the attachments in the obsidian were mysteriously deleted: the photos app on the phones.

I clean up photos on the phone regularly that have already been backed up. When the sync of the vault happened for the first time, the attachments were synced and the back up were enabled automatically for these folders for either Google Photos or iCloud - I can’t remember exactly which one. Then I cleaned them up. So Syncthing did what it supposed to do: it deleted all of them from my source of truth - the vault on my NAS. I didn’t realize that and I don’t look at these old notes enough to find out until two months later.

I appreciate #Obsidian protecting users from themselves.
This is why #Obsidian is my favorite tech company. It’s just a few passionate, hard working people and not some giant venture capitalist bureaucracy.

In December I compared Claude and Gemini head-to-head for use with my Obsidian vault. Claude won - partly because of Claude Code, which lets it work directly with vault files.

What I didn't expect was how much it would change my blogging process. Not just admin tasks, but the actual thinking - from sparking ideas in conversation to finding forgotten notes when laying out a post.

How I use Claude with Obsidian: My PKM Workflow (Pt2) - The Computer & Technology Network

Three versions of Claude, one Obsidian vault. I share how my Claude Obsidian workflow has evolved - PKM admin, blog editing, and building Claude Code skills.

I saw enough people waxing rhapsodic about #Obsidian (https://obsidian.md) as a powerful notes/organizing tool that I thought I'd give it a try on my phone.

I am not the kind of person that is going to create a multi-layered, cross-referenced, encyclopedic hypertext reference library. BUT I was very quickly able to create a listing of my current medications, so that if you click on the name of the drug you then pull up the form, dosage, and schedule for that med.

Which is actually pretty cool, and something I've wanted, on my phone, for quite a while.
