Given how much #DougFord has been paralleling the #Trump playbook - Corruption, Gutting of Access to Information, Elimination of inconvenient laws, Establishing lawless "economic" zones, billion dollar vanity projects - and given the ongoing 2026 Census, how much do you want to bet he'll try to #gerrymander #Ontario ridings too?

He's already messed with Elections by eliminating fixed terms in order to give himself an additional year in office and the ability to call an election whenever it suits him.

Further, Ontario already has a precedent of not following Federal boundaries precisely in that there is typically more representation from Northern Ontario Provincially than Federally.

Gerrymandering is the logical next step for a corrupt administration that has shown no restraint in order to tilt the playing field to their advantage - the unprecedented use of the Notwithstanding clause - and to line their pockets.

Let's call it what it is: Autocracy.

Just like with #Trump, people have been avoiding calling what is what it is.

But let's be real here: #Ford had passed legislation to ensure he doesn't need to face the electorate for the maximum permissible time without changing the constitution, which he would not be able to do unilaterally, and that enables him to call an election when it is politically most favourable to him, like in the middle of winter when the electorate is distracted by an economic crisis caused by the President that Ford celebrated when he won.

You can bet if he could eliminate needing to face the electorate he would do it in a heart beat.

He constantly decries his opponents as being part of the "Radical Left", that there are well funded "conspiracies" out to thwart him... remind you of anyone?

#DougFord, like #DonaldTrump, is an autocrat.

Since his first election in 2018, #DougFord had added 20% to the debt.

Literally 1/5 of #Ontario's $348bn debt, $70bn, was because of him.

Add in the $14bn from this budget too, and he's at almost 25% of the debt, or 1/4 of Ontario's new debt of $362bn.

This is the guy who, in the middle of the 2018 #Toronto Municipal Election, reduced the size of council to less than half its size, regularly imposes himself as the super-mayor of Toronto on issues from bike lanes to transit, is trying to steal the City of Toronto's stake in the Toronto Island Airport...

Just like with #Trump, anyone who still supports this guy is clearly delusional! He has always lied, but his lies are becoming demented!
