Hunter Offshore Wind project feasibility license granted

Novocastrian Wind Pty Ltd, a partnership between Equinor and Oceanex Energy, has been offered a 7 year feasibility licence to explore its planned offshore wind farm project for the Hunter offshore wind area (NSW, Australia).

The project is located over 22 kms off the coast of Newcastle and will deliver 2 GW of renewable electricity - enough to power more than a million homes.
