If you work in imaging research and use a Mac, I have something for you!
There was once an extremely handy Quick Look plugin that allowed you to quickly preview image files in Finder. However, this plugin stopped working in macOS 15 due to an architecture change.
To address this, I built MIQ – https://github.com/marcoduering/MIQ – a free and open-source macOS Quick Look extension for previewing medical volume images on modern macOS versions.
Simply hit the Spacebar in Finder to instantly see an orthogonal slice view along with a metadata panel. No app switching, no waiting.

I would love for you to try it and share any feedback 🙏
