I'm so excited!! Tomorrow we @pasopacifico deploy our motus station in Western Central America. These stations use radio telemetry to detect resident and migratory birds tagged with transmitters. The station's previous computer malfunctioned over a year ago and the new station was held up in customs for over six months. I had to personally go to Central America and visit several postal and customs offices to retrieve it. But all is well now. #motus #neotropicalbirds #pasopacifico #grateful #aves

This is a painting of the first patio feeder, on number 3 right now. All of the species shown are regular daily visitors but one. For some reason the Bay-headed Tanager rarely visits. It’s common in the neighbourhood just not at the feeder.
