Earlier this year, I had the great prilivege of meeting Jose Serafin, a fisherman from the Jocotal wetland El Salvador. Serafin worked with #PasoPacifico to protect endangered parrots. He was a great team member and very attune to parrot behaviors. This Tuesday, he was fishing in the wetland but when he got out of the boat to retrieve nets was overtaken by a floating island of water hyacinth and he drown. It took them 24 hours to locate his remains. We are devastated #RestInPeace
