Here's a less geographic conundrum. I've a WS2812 string of neopixels that has just stopped working. Cannot be controlled, shows the same pattern regardless of whether data is connected or it's been powered off a while.

Is the string dead? Is there just one dead neopixel to be bypassed? All neatly resined in there too.

Both #WLED and direct control do nothing for me.

Years ago I got these NeoPixel strips that did not come all attached with the ability to snap them apart *or* leave them as one big unit...

So I made a jig to hold them together so I can solder them all in series.

I added 2 meters of neopixels to my cargo bike to help me be seen at night time. I programmed a spiffy Tron-like rainbow chaser effect but also took this long-exposure shot too.

They said this wouldn’t work but it bloody well does! Just three more digits to solder up (161 individual LEDs!) and I’ll have a clock!

I’m so glad it does work though because I ordered two hundred of these pcbs 😂

If the #marimapper wants manual exposure control, then it better be prepared for the consequences! 😉

The new 'webcam' has manual control of everything on the lens. Mapping should just require zooming to frame 'target', then focus, then stop down aperture for the mapper. 👍
