On #BlueMonday I like to think back to that time when I managed to get whole album's worth of New Order track titles into a #NatureChemistry editorial... https://stuartcantrill.com/2017/06/30/joy-provision/ (alas, Blue Monday was not one of them).

Chemical connections

Let's do an #introduction then...

I'm Chief #Editor of #NatureChemistry and have been at the journal since 2008, becoming Chief in August of this year. I handle the 'physical chemistry' papers.

I have a PhD in #chemistry (nonlinear chemical dynamics) and moved to #science #publishing in 2006 with a job at the Royal Society of Chemistry before moving to #Nature.

Live in #Calderdale with wife (Emma), 2 kids and a #cat.

Other stuff #running #football #music

#ChemToots #SciComm

I (re)joined the #RSC to work on Chemistry World 10 years ago (wow), having spent 4 years at #NatureChemistry when it first launched.

Before that, I was an editor on the RSC's #journals team, which I joined the week after my #PhD viva.

I'm an #inorganic #solid-state chemist by training, having spent ~8 years in #Durham
