In this #OpenAccess work led by @salvabara , the visual impact of individual wind turbine #lights was #modeled and their brightness compared to the brightness of celestial objects visible to #nakedeye.
For typical lamps used in wind turbines, we’ve found that one might need to move more than 38 km away before no longer see their light (standard naked-eye visibility limit). For distances closer to 4 km, their lights even outshine the bright planet #Venus.
