Sobanska, all’epoca diciannovenne, ha ricevuto la diagnosi di una forma aggressiva di linfoma non Hodgkin dopo aver notato un nodulo delle dimensioni di un pisello sul collo. La ragazza, dopo essersi insospettita mentre guardava la puntata, ha insistito per essere visitata in ospedale e alla fine ha ricevuto la cattiva notizia: una forma aggressiva del linfoma non Hodgkin.
Patrycja ha scoperto di essere in grado di comprendere il gergo dei suoi medici guardando il popolare programma, che trattava proprio del linfoma in una delle puntate. Insomma una casualità che le ha certamente salvato la vita.
Che cos’è il linfoma non Hodgkin
Il linfoma non-Hodgkin (LNH) è un tumore che ha origine dai linfociti B o dai linfociti T presenti nel sistema linfatico. Questo sistema è costituito dagli organi linfoidi primari e secondari, dalla rete dei vasi linfatici, e dalla linfa. Gli organi linfoidi primari sono timo e midollo osseo, mentre gli organi linfoidi secondari sono milza e linfonodi. La principale funzione del sistema linfatico è la difesa dell’organismo dagli agenti esterni e dalle infezioni.
