I have for very many years used https://www.nearlyfreespeech.net to host and provide many of my online sites and services. They provide an excellent service at a decent price, and because it all Just Works [tm] I rarely need to log in there.

But I've just logged in and they are prominently displaying this post from their blog to all users.

Entitled "A quick note to our queer members", if only more businesses would stand up for themselves and others like this.

It's very easy, incidentally, to switch between production and non-production site types.

I'd used NFSN for 16 years before I finally let my last sites/domains lapse in 2021. I went right back to them when I decided to start up again about six months ago.

A snapshot of my (prepaid) expenses so far this year using NearlyFreeSpeech.net to host my #Hugo and #Faircamp sites.

(the deposit fee is for dumping another 20 bucks in my account)

Leaving aside deposit fees and domain name registration, it costs me about $0.12 per day to run both sites as "production." I could with only a little effort consolidate them into one site and cut that in half. And "non-production" sites cost a fraction of this, even.
