I enjoy the D6 system clones. I built a spell building spreadsheet for Open D6 and published a variant Fantasy SRD based on it..

I still use the old D6 spell building spreadsheet for 'weird magic' in my various games. The 'Speed' part of the spell builder allows for spell effects that creep slowly towards the target.

Anyway, I found a reddit thread with some helpful advice to navigate choosing MiniSix/OpenD6/Mythic D6.

Can anyone here summarize the difference between Star Wars D6 (2nd ed) and Mythic D6 ?

I have it in my head that #MythicD6 builds on #StarWarsD6 but, without doing a bunch of comparison reading, I don't know what the notable differences are.

Give a look at any of these #RPG. These are just my physical books. Things like #MythicD6, #EZD6, #IndexCardRPG or #ICRPG, #SavageWorlds or #SWADE. There's more to life than #Pathfinder or #DnD.

My digital collection has tons more. #TheBlackHack, #DCC or #DungeonCrawlClassics, #Godbound, #RuneQuest, #GURPS, #TheWhiteHack, and many more.

All powering my #solorpg game by #MythicGME or Game Master Emulator.

I strongly suspect #MythicD6 isn't my thing, but they had me at "afrocentric":

BASTION: Afrocentric Sword and Sorcery fantasy

Bastion is an Afrocentric fantasy RPG where decay and the warping power of animate chaos twists everything it touches.
