Apparently Debian packages MuseScore 3 but deliberately does not package 4. Good.

Apparently 4 is even worse/sketchier than we thought.

There's also a fork mentioned in the bug there, "MuseScore Evolution 3.7". It's packaged as musescore-snapshot, apparently. It doesn't seem to have a proper website yet, just a git repo.

The world is changing rapidly. The old elites want to save their position with tanks, war, protectionism, and nationalism.
The online community has long since overtaken the old structures. Today, the open source concept is no longer just about programmers working together to write software. Open source is about sharing knowledge. What one person knows, everyone knows.

Good examples are highly successful projects that are only marginally noticed by the FOSS community. One such example is #Lichess, an open chess platform. Not only does it make it easy to quickly play a game of online chess, but it also contains the knowledge of chess enthusiasts and clubs around the world. Learning, analyzing, major tournaments—today, Lichess is the standard for everyone from grandmasters to beginners. Everyone benefits.

A similar situation can be seen with MuseScore, a music notation program. There are thousands of instruments in the world, each with its own syntax. Only a (global) community can achieve something like this.

Or Gotot, a programming engine for computer games. It already makes thousands of hobby/indie games possible today. A colorful anarchistic world.
