A bit of a twitch at Mow Cop.

My friend Jase sent me this a little earlier. He said:
“Beautiful as the Northern Lights are, they're also a fluke of chance. Sunsets have their seasons and there's a diaphanous beauty in the shrouds and tatters of a homespun sky, if you take the time and know when to look. Here's your back yard. 😊”
This is taken (by Jase) from Marshes Hill in #BrownEdge, looking over #Knypersley to #MowCop.
On the way home this afternoon, The Boy said from the back of the car “Look grandma! A castle!”
So we diverted to the top of #MowCop and I explained it was a #folly not a #castle and he just kept shouting “I’m in the castle! I’m in the castle!” and now he thinks he’s a princess.
It’s a hard walk up there when you’re two, though.
28mph wind gusting to 50 currently.
I’m lying in bed listening to it and feeling grateful to have this roof over my head, whilst conscious that many are not so fortunate.
#Day196 of #365HappyDays : #today I’m happy with my little new car. I’ve had it for two months and although I purposely bought an AWD vehicle for these conditions, I didn’t know how it would actually perform when it needed to.
It dealt well with the #UKsnow and got me easily up the series of proper hills that lead to my house.
#SuzukiIgnis FTW.
#Day62 of #100HappyDays / #365HappyDays : after the rain today, came this. I can’t take the credit, it’s taken by my friend Jase.
Pretty sure that’s taken from #BrownEdge with #MowCop in the distance.
