hugovangalen 🤖 🕹️ 😼"Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes" an intriguing and quite original Japanese time loop movie.
The French shark attack / disaster film "Under Paris" is great!
The CGI could be better but I guess motion tracking sharks is tricky, especially telling them how to act. Having said that, I prefer an enticing story over average CGI any day (yeah looking at you Dune with your fancy CGI but shit character building).
Anyway, what a ride and what a despicable, unlikable character that mayor is OMFG.
If you are into this type of film, check it out!
If y'all are into time-vortexy timey-wimey movies I recommend Mirage (2019). It's a Spanish crime/mystery/drama that revolves around two moments in time connected by a storm.
I found it highly entertaining and intriguing. 4 stars.

I cannot believe Junk Head, a full 1 hour 40 min stop-motion movie was made by one guy!

Watched Phantom of the Paradise and am just floored.
Might be my fav phantom adaption, and I loved the directorial choices throughout the movie, it is such an interesting, uncomfortable shooting style - bringing us constantly too close or at a wrong angle.
I especially loved how it keeps framing us into one side of the mask, focusing on his wide-open eye.
Makes me wanna check out more of De Palma's lesser known works

William GunnIt's not worth watching if you are looking for a film retelling of the story, but if you like sci-fi action movies, particularly ones featuring non-white, non-male main characters, give it a go.
