A huge #fossil #colony of the #bryozoan Steginoporella from the #Pleistocene of #NewZealand. #pre-pandemic #FieldWork. Bryozoans tell us loads about their fecundity, phenotype and biotic interactions, even when they have been dead and fossilized for a long time.
