Tropical cyclone Mocha intensified to become very dangerous on Friday. Authorities in Bangladesh and Myanmar are preparing to evacuate hundreds of thousands of people as they brace for the severe cyclone churning in the Bay of Bengal.
Mocha is now a Super Cyclonic Storm, with estimated winds of 240 km/h (150 mph) and still intensifying.
Mocha will likely weaken slightly before making landfall near the city of #Sittwe in Myanmar (Burma) just after midday local time tomorrow, May 14th.
There is a high risk of significant storm surge, damaging winds, and flash flooding in the vicinity of Sittwe.

Cyclone Mocha is a now classified as an Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm. Mocha is rapidly intensifying in the Bay of Bengal south of Kolkata, India.
Winds are expected to reach 145 mph / 230 km/h before weakening slightly to 130 mph / 215 km/h as it approaches landfall just south of the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar (Burma).
