6:26am local (12:26 utc), #WichitaFalls TX, looking south, low (10deg decl?). Only caught the last second or two but had split into two and was ~-4 Mag.

Wild guess that any unlikely landfall would be a little to the west of #MineralWells (v difficult to gauge horizontal distance in the sky)

Less than a week before #Christmas , so out #fossil hunting during the only warm day of the week.
Location: #MineralWellsFossilPark #MineralWells ( #PaloPinto county) Texas.
#Pennsylvanian ( #Carboniferous ) reef deposit.

Lots of #crinoids and #brachiopods as usual. Quite a few #sponges and large stick #bryozoa (alas no veil bryozoa this time), and 3 distinct species of #gastropod.

Along a brick road (The Bankhead Highway) between Mineral Wells and Weatherford, 1930s. That looks to be a US Department of Agriculture car.
