Bad news: a gazillion empty chats without text, and me being the only participant, that cannot be deleted for unknown reasons.

OpenAI'M: Micros(ha)ft Shell Company Using Its Technology To Kill

Earlier this month, the company that brings us ChatGPT announced its partnership with California-based weapons company, Anduril, to produce AI weapons. The OpenAI-Anduril system, which was tested in California at the end of November, permits the sharing of data between external parties for decision making on the battlefield. This fits squarely within the US military and OpenAI’s plans to normalize the use of AI on the battlefield.

Anduril, based in Costa Mesa, makes AI-powered drones, missiles, and radar systems, including surveillance towers, Sentry systems, currently used at US military bases worldwide as well as the US-Mexico border and on the British coastline to detect migrants on boats. On December 3rd, they received a three-year contract with the Pentagon for a system that gives soldiers AI solutions during attacks.

#github is the microshaft platform to use when u want OpenSeason on ur software. If yuo do FOSS on #griftHub ur work will be stolen by #microshaft and handed over to the corporates, using the excuse, "the 'AI' stole it".

If u are using GriftHub, u are part of the problem, either due to ur #ignorance, or malevolence. This includes the #bitcoin ppl.

Gitlab is also quite nasty as it requires javascript to browse a repository, and its official service (gitlab.com) is via cloudflare, Avoid using for anything other than backup/#collateralFreedom.

The corporate hacks at #OSI have defined the LLMs that C.A.G.E.M.A.F.I.A. use as "open-source" without them having to provide the data (incl. art, journalism, books and whatever other content was used to train the system).

This is bad. It's bad for not only everyone in software freedom but EVERYONE who produces content.... and by that I mean EVERYONE.

The #microsoft cronies perpetuating #theft and #fraud at OSI need to repeal their demented #OSAID definition immediately, if they want to maintain any shred of respect for #opensource.

@msdropbear42 `we` as in paid IT staff, don't 'do' this to other people, most of it is corporate management mindset/incompetence run riot.

That said, all you can do is support alternative options, and keep in mind that #Windows #EndUsers did not expect this and had it foisted upon them by #ITManagers that drank the #Microshaft coolaid.

I'd gladly reach out and help the user as they're the ones that need the support, however .. it's not 'their' PC that #Crowdsrike has borked, in this instance, but their service providers boxen.

Maybe next time a #Linux or #FOSS user reaches out offers those poor souls help, they'll listen more closely. We can only hope they understand, it's just different, not hard.

Seeing as Microsoft Recall takes a screenshot of your desktop every 5 seconds, Microsoft should make it play a camera shutter sound every time Recall takes a screenshot. 

You know, just to remind you that you can use Microsoft Recall to refer to something you looked at 69 months ago. 

Oh, and it always plays at full blast and can't be muted except through the registry editor in a hard-to-find spot that may or may not always be there. And if you can't find it, too bad, you'll just have to suck it up!
