Addressing comment on patch series sent to #LinuxKernel mailing list is exhausting, but it's worth it to see how the code improves.

Hopefully in few weeks we'll have very basic #Pixel3 support in #MainlineLinux

🎉 At today's #Prague meetup, we successfully ran U-Boot on the Pixel 3 (including display support!), in addition to the Pixel 3 XL.
Also reported a regression in the Linux -next tree causing a crash at boot.

Recently I've been porting the #Unisoc ISP to #libcamera. AF is not supported yet, so I have to move the lens manually using v4l2-ctl. But debayering, AGC/AEC, AWB and color correction are already working.

I guess my concern today is what happens when custom roms stop supporting the #pixel3a ?
It's an aging phone. People have put in a lot of work into roms for it (#LineageOS, #CalyxOS, #AXPOS), but from what I gather building Android ROMs is a huge mess, and needs lots of computing resources.
I'd like to think it will be possible to keep using it for years to come with #MainlineLinux, #postmarketOS or some similar project

Is there some nice #foss alternative to #öffi/#offi for #android? It currently crashes when I search for a route and did not appear to get any updates recently. On #gnome I like to use #Railway/#diebahn (https://apps.gnome.org/en/DieBahn/) but I don't use #mainlinelinux with #phosh or #gnome on my dailydriver.

Doable since the #RocknixOS image was with a mainline kernel. Nice work put in for the pmOS port. It makes me daydream about a mobile workstation type device. With an external keyboard.
