Out of nowhere, I once again began receiving half-empty daily emails from #Mailbrew in my inbox. My first thought was - Mailbrew's still alive? I thought it died a few years ago, after Ev Williams bought it.

Der FichtelDom im Internet: Ist #Mailbrew tot? Weiß das jemand? Nun: Es läuft noch.… https://fichteldom.de/2025/10/25/ist-mailbrew-tot-wei-das.html
Is #Mailbrew dead? Does anyone know? Well, it's still running. But there have been no updates since 2023.
My question is whether I should start the subscription or whether it's more "dangerous".
I’ve been using #Mailbrew for some time now - it gathers sources from the internet, and gives you a personal email address to redirect your newsletters to. Then it gives you digests in your inbox in the format and frequency that you prefer.
You can subscribe to the weekly #newsletter on #Mailbrew or on a #RSS feed reader of your choice. We are grateful for any feedback on this new feature or our #news service in general.

Seems @ev bought #Mailbrew from @linuz90 and @frankdilo only to ignore it. Time to find something else.
Be wary of self-identified #founders. It’s code for “dilettante.”
One of my last connections to #Twitter finally died, #Mailbrew. 😭
I been slowly migrating away from any news feed related to Twitter, but now I must. 😅 Interesting enough, for me, it means using more digest newsletters than moving back to only #rss.
RSS makes sense for low volume news you want a feed on. But it can become completely unmanageable, with hundreds of feeds. I once had an hour session in the morning and night to keep up to date. 🙃
Yup, I'm definitely converting to #readwise.😎 Able to centralize so many disperse information data type. Instead of fifteen tools, a single one that is still digestible.
The one downside is that it's proprietary. 😮💨 But so is #pocket and #mailbrew. Which will be both (among others) replaced by readwise.
I been using #mozilla #pocket for a little over a decade.
Yet, trying #readwisereader for a few days has me convert real quick. This may replace even #mailbrew for me. And readwise reader has integration with #logseq! 😍
Can't emphasize enough how much pocket has stagnated. 🙁 Readwise reader is in beta. But already an order of magnitude more capable than pocket.
