An album by Nick Balmer Released 2026-03-23 After much relocation and delay, this release is finally ready. A return to the sound of the first few EPs, where the guitar is the foundation, with synthesizers merely accompanying this stream of sound that flows once again to its listeners. At the heart of the album’s concept is mentality and its fluidity. Mentality is understood here as a deep, often unconscious system of “prisms” through which people perceive themselves and the world, manifested in traditions, language, morality, and life positions. Fluidity represents its change, deformation, reformation, and the adoption of new forms against the background of external shifts. This record is an attempt to join the flow of these changes, passing through them with sharp moments of reflection and rejection of certain aspects of consumerism, a material-over-spiritual mindset, and the visual overload of contemporary media.

No wonder the RSS reader #NextcloudNews is one of the more popular Nextcloud apps!
In his article on Medium, Cory Doctorow explains why using RSS is great:
“The one thing you can choose to do that will make your internet life better and make the internet better for everyone else, too.”
