I'm not sure why, as it seems like the cards are being used in #Standard / #Commander / #Highlander and players are generally happy by their playability, but...

Card Shop Live is running a clearance on March of the Machine: The Aftermath booster boxes. Epilogue boosters are only $49.99 per box. [Collector boosters are $119.99 per box, though I think they still offer less value at that price.]

March of the Machine: The Aftermath - Epilogue Booster Display

#MTGAftermath is kind of a snooze fest to open. 2 boxes in, and I am done with it.

5 card booster packs sounded silly when #WOTC announced this back a year and a half ago. It turns out that they aren't silly, but just feel really bad that you're opening only 5 cards.

I haven't looked yet but judging from how many copies of it that I opened, Training Grounds probably crashed through the sub-basement in price. Holy crap.

Whichever of the #WotCstaff thought it would be funny to have All Will Be One exist while Battles were in the format should be subjected to every type of penetration torture imaginable. At once. In every orifice.

Any moron could have seen this would be a problem, and it's now been 3 out of the last 4 games I've played on MTG Arena.

This can't be the norm for the next three years. πŸ˜’

I liked what we got from the #MTGAftermath story, but I'm seeing a lot of talk from people who feel like it wasn't enough, and to be honest I find it difficult to disagree with them.

Part of the problem is that it doesn't really feel like an epilogue as much as it does a Marvel-esque post-credits scene. An epilogue's job is to wrap up key plot points so that the audience can get a sense of finality before moving on to the next big arc.

I'm so bummed out we're not getting any more #MtGAftermath stories than the two already released.
What's the point in having a whole epilogue set and doing so little with it?

#MagicTheGathering

One of the other big details that I found really interesting about #MTGAftermath was how Nissa and Nahiri's feelings on Planeswalkers started to change and warp once they lost their sparks.

The moment they were removed from the power that defined them for so long, they started to grow a little resentful of the people who still had it, even if they didn't intend to.

New format idea: "Pinkerton"

Each player opens 6 packs, then takes turns playing the role of 'Innocent Bystander' while the other players act as 'Private Investigators' and use whatever means necessary to intimidate and guilt the innocent bystander into handing over everything they have. The winner is the player who successfully captures all of the cards and discarded pack wrappers from the other players.

Hasbro's/WotC's absurd act of sending Pinkerton agents to (illegally) forcibly seize leaked March of the Machine: The Aftermath cards is now on the Wikipedia entry for 'Pinkerton (detective agency)'.

If you're unfamiliar with the extent of the Pinkerton's history of filth, I suggest reading the entire article. Focus particularly on how they have been used in anti-union work by Amazon and Starbucks in recent years.

This #MTGAftermath Pinkerton situation sounds mostly like a misunderstanding, but the TTRPG community is duty bound to freak out and ascribe conspiracy and WotC hate to everything. It’s like clockwork
