Even for me this feels like an excessive level of jank:

#MNTReform classic HDMI out to HDMI -> active (usb powered) display port adapter -> 15+ year old display port to 2 DVI ports matrox adapter thing (basically presents two monitors to the OS as one in hardware, usb powered) -> 2x passive DVI -> HDMI -> 2x 1080p 24" monitors.

Works seamlessly! Just got to remember that going "full screen" on the external is stretched across both monitors...

Anyone else got a Reform running Plan 9, btw? I've never been able to get the reading of data from the lpc to work, and reading reform/pm.c and cross referencing with the lpc firmware, I'm fairly sure the implementation is just wrong.

Has this ever worked? Anyone have it working now? Curious if there was a breaking firmeare change or something...

The MNT Reform Next in purple is my "someday" upgrade. It is fully open source, modular, and repairable. It is a machine that actually respects the user instead of fighting them. Plus, that purple is beautiful. I have respect for MNT Research for being one of the few ethically sound companies in Tech.

I‘d buy an ARM laptop as well of course.
