@vermaden I have some theory, that popularity of Mac laptops seriously damaged engineering expertise in field of laptop keyboards. Every CEO wants to produce Apple-like laptops => companies order only island-type keyboards with extremely small press distance for keys => factories remove equipment to produice old-style laptop keyboards and/or lost the necessary knowledge => people forgot how these keyboards were cool => we are here.
Seriously, all modern mass-market laptops [1], even the #Framework , looks like Apple MacBook — very thin, small amount of sockets, island keyboard and a big touchpad (and no any other pointer devices). Absolutely zero personality and absolutely disguisting.
