#MDNWebDocs and #W3Schools is so funny to me because when they talk about deprecated functionality or practices that aren't recommended (such as anything left over from HTML...4), the explanation of such is FORBIDDEN. No! You're NOT meant to adopt practices such as <center>. Learn CSS!! Argh!

Did anyone get a recording of the #MDN community call earlier today? They were supposed to talk about and answer questions about the AI "features" that were pushed to the #MDNWebDocs earlier.

mdn added an "ai explain" button to code blocks and i am fucking seething but also trying not to let it leak out too much in this bug report https://github.com/mdn/yari/issues/9208

Queer Party!

anyone thinking that @mozilla somehow realised what the problem was, is most likely sadly mistaken: it's not that the explanations are wrong or that enshittification is bad overall. it's because of β€œa controversial discussion of this feature”.

fix(ai-explain): pause ai-explain

Due to a controversial disscussion of this feature we're pausing it not (sic!). We'll look into it after the weekend.
