I’m at one of the public libraries that’s open for a few hours on Sundays and there is a live New Orléans-style Jazz Band here. Delightful! #librariesareamazing
When i was young a library was my safe space. The record library (for there was such a thing) was on the very top floor. It embued the same hushed tones as the book library but with soft classical music playing.
There was some pop and rock. The inspection regime for the vinyl records, both on issuing and return was forensic.
To ease my inspection anxiety I also borrowed cassettes. The inspection routine for cassettes was this: Yes it’s still a cassette. #Music #Memories #LibrariesAreAmazing

I went to the library this evening and returned the book Fall. Had dinner nearby and then back to the library and picked up Artemis by Andy Weir. I love that libraries exist. I still like using my kindle while traveling but a real paper book is such a treat. And it lets me disconnect from screens. The library system is such a positive example of socialism. #librariesareamazing
