When i was young a library was my safe space. The record library (for there was such a thing) was on the very top floor. It embued the same hushed tones as the book library but with soft classical music playing.
There was some pop and rock. The inspection regime for the vinyl records, both on issuing and return was forensic.
To ease my inspection anxiety I also borrowed cassettes. The inspection routine for cassettes was this: Yes it’s still a cassette.
