First time run of a lava lamp shows weird patterns 😹

But that's totally normal.

En attendant, j’ai réparé* notre lava lamp électrique.

* changé l'eau. Ça a visiblement suffit pour la débloquer.
Faudra d’ailleurs que j'utilise de l’eau distillée pour éviter ce trouble. Avoir la main moins lourde sur l’encre (faite par Jax !) pour la colorer. Et du sel d’epsom pour peaufiner la densité de l’eau.

#WinterSoCosy2026 Day 25: Lava

As a teen I had a cheap lava lamp with clear liquid and red "lava" in it. I have always been fascinated by lava lamps, and I still am. Hopefully one day I'll have a genuine Mathmos one. An Astro, or maybe a Telstar rocket one. Until then, I will create fun retro illustrations like this one.
