Red deer
Richmond Park
I once got within 10 paces of a massive red deer stag in the autumn. I knew it was dangerous to test his boundaries so I was watching his body language closely. Deer are very subtle when they're warning you. A slight head toss. A genteel hoof drag like an effete bull. A slight cough of annoyance. Had I not been paying attention I would have been in great danger. But I understood and gave him his space, and he kept browsing unbothered.

I haven't gotten any donations in a while and the job market is challenging even with my qualifications. Please consider donating so I can continue to bring you new material.
