Apple has changed its plans and will postpone the iMac update until late 2028.

Repaired this iMac from 2000! Had to take the speakers apart and replace the chemically degrading foam. Left speaker works great, right speaker still a bit of buzz sometimes. CD-ROM had to be disassembled, cleaned and repaired as well. Got it 100% working now! Diablo II is still fun!

Additionally I also have a cheapo SSD inside via a IDE to SATA adapter. It does make it blink question mark mac for about 10 seconds before it finds and boots but other than CD-ROM and CRT whine its a totally silent iMac.
