@nicfab if people use any xmpp services, we are happy. What most xmpp apps (except #quicksy and #kontalk) misses is the convenience of using your phone number as id and using phone book to find other users. This is one more option we are adding, we are not taking away anything from existing #xmpp services.
Heard about Quicksy for the first time last weekend. It's another XMPP-but-easy app. It's an interesting field of development, especially when trying to get people off WhatsApp.

Has anyone tried and compared #quicksy , #kontalk and #snikket ?

For the same reason I also think the effort with #kontalk client, even when using #xmpp network is misguided and should be careful thought about and MUST support multiple accounts at same time using multiple phone numbers if it wants to go somewhere. Also that it should support login with existing xmpp account. I've installed it thrice and immediately uninstalled because of the above reasons.
