It is somewhat ironic that in the Bangor, Maine, area in the late 1960s, the name of "Collinsport" in the "Dark Shadows" television series was thought to have been based on Searsport, where Susan Collins took this verbal beating. Maybe now Searsport can be renamed Collinsport. Jonathan Frid, RiP

I understand and appreciate why attitudes to beauty pageants have changed over the years, but I wish we could have kept Miss Ghost America and Miss American Vampire. Okay, these events were held to promote a couple of Dark Shadows spin-off movies, but they really should have stayed a thing. And why confine them to America, how about Miss Ghost World or Miss World Vampire (though I suppose Transylvania would be a shoo-in for that last one).
