Art created by Monterey County native John Cerney graces landscapes and buildings in Calgary, Alberta and many U.S. states, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming.
A personal favorite is this one in Sand City, California—because the woman at the left is our dear friend Lila Daoud! Cerney’s fellow artist Olia Polovneff painted Lila and the little baseball player for this scene.
We’ve photographed some Cerney art while #biking #Monterey County, e.g., see our old Giant hybrid by one in our Youth Center post https://bikemonterey.org/probation-dept-youth-center-bike-education.html; another in our dog-lovers post https://bikemonterey.org/tips-for-dog-lovers-biking-monterey-county-and-elsewhere.html and bike rentals pg https://bikemonterey.org/tips-for-tourists/bicycle-rentals-guided-tours.
