In my 26 years in the Auvergne, this is the first time I've seen the Japanese quince bushes (a non-native species to boot) out in flower at this time of year. They have been out roughly a fortnight now. These plants only used to blossom in March and April as winter was drawing to a close when I first moved to the area, and their flowering season has steadily been getting earlier every year. We have now breached the once yearly flowering. Whether natural or not, the seasons are definitely changing, and this is just from my own personal observation and photos taken over the years.
