Your antagonist encounters a leprechaun, what would they wish for?

Lady D’Arcy would ask him how get back Erie

If your characters found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, how would this change their current situation?

Esther is broken & would be very happy to find a pot of gold

If they had to, what unique St Patrick's Day tradition would your MC invent?

On that day everyone should wear clothes with a four leaf’s clover pattern🍀

I have figured out how to sneak a flask into #C2E2, so I can totally make this #chicago trip feel like a #vegas one.

#IrishCoffeeClub - How would your characters attempt to catch a leprechaun?

(With apologies to the greatest movies ever)

Revera: How do you find a leprechaun who's hidden right before your eyes?
Luce: Leprechauns? I don't think they exist.
Glass: Leprechauns don't carry any curse with 'em. It all depends on whether or not the guy who finds 'em is the right guy.
Kard: I say we take off and nuke the leprechaun from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Alfie: We'd need a glass jar--

John: Or a tin can. Or perhaps a bucket? Depending on how big the beastie is.

Alfie: Wouldn't a glass jar be better? You'd want to sketch it, wouldn't you?

John: True.

Alfie: So. A glass jar and... eh... some milk? Or would it prefer beer?

John, grinning: I would prefer the beer.

Alfie: I know you would. Where would we need to go to find a leprechaun?

Imagine Isabel and Jimmy doing this as children: Isabel would spend several hours designing a complex and sophisticated leprechaun trap, but eventually due to limits on time and equipment would be convinced to follow Jimmy's much more haphazard plan involving a box, a stick, a rope, and whatever they decide would tempt a leprechaun most.

If the devil-girl got a visual, she'd drop a gravity fold over him like a bell jar.

The main antagonist would charm the pants off of the guy. Literally.

Wintereyes isn't allowed to magically befriend anything humanoid. She might ask her dragon friend to speak fire to the fellow dressed in shamrocks, to convince him not to run.

Would the little guy notice Bolt dropping down on him from the sky? She's very fast.

My characters in the WIP are 19th century English landed gentry.

I am afraid they would see leprechauns as a part of "The Irish Question" and would disdainfully refuse to be involved.

Either that or they would call out the hounds and ride, hell for leather, after the creature to run it down.

They would start with an illusion of a field of 4-leafed clovers. When that didn't work (because leprechauns can detect illusions), they would probably try music (a jaunty reel to start). The trap would consist of an enchanted net and a silver-lined locking chest. None of this will work.

Ha, I like this one! Ok, let's see.

Phon has a big library of cryptid bestiaries. ("So, fairies are real?" "Here and there on the odd reserve. Protected species." "Huh.")

But he is also sort of an idiot and I wouldn't put it past him to try children's cereal as bait.

He'd probably leave out things he personally likes (including cereal) in a snap-trap because he's too rich to care about gold.

Janet's uniform is so many colors, the leprechaun would mistake it for a rainbow and attempt to bury gold under her.
