My mission in life, after I created a religion in 2009 [1] with Pieter Hintjens is quite simple: work on the #InternetOfPeople, by creating truly self-owned, self-sovereign identity as the core. Global democracy for global problems on top of that. Build solutions that connect people on top of that. So it stops being about connecting machines and dollar notes for the few. #GoodNight

So now that Chrome (Google) has redefined the web to serve ads instead of content and Mozilla happily follows suit, because, well, Google pays most of their bills, the W3C shrugging — what’s the next big thing? As I don't use tracking, traffic analytics, cookies or anything comparable on my blog, the only indicator for success is the amount of e-mails from shady folks "offering" me "lucrative" backlink deals. That frequency is on the rise since a few weeks. So I guess I am somehow relevant ;) #SarcasmButOnlyHalf

The commercialised internet will be flooded with machines talking to machines to impress machines that distribute ad money put in by companies. With "AI" generating texts, pictures, music and videos.

We need a new #InternetOfPeople.
