Reminds us of the 2009 #PinkBats "Scandal" in #Australia. Our PM #KevinRudd and #PeterGarrett funded as many #builders as possible to install #insulation. It was an incredibly successful #InsulationScheme but #corporateMedia only blame Rudd for the few bad builders that abused the funding, resulting in two worker deaths and some fires.

Before #KevinRudd was destroyed in the #corporateMedia and removed, he setup a National #insulationScheme that helped #Australia save 30% on #airConditioning!
Not even #USA have worked that one out yet, last we checked.
To be fair KevinRudd wanted a few things the corporates hated; good wired internet for all, sound relations with #China , a #sovereignWealthFund from #mining, and was good on #JulianAssange.
Since the #KRuddCoup we've been, to quote Gillard, "#LosingOurWay", big time.

Wind and solar are good sources but where they may possibly faulter is likely due to overconsumption, there are exaples of hydro and geothermal and we understand that hydrogen is a viable contender, today. Reducing consumption though is a must, eg. temperature-control #airConditioning is completely unnecessary for the vast majority.
Under KevinRudd over a decade ago, Australia had an #insulationScheme, to fit homes with insulation, we understand the US has yet to do that?

The rejection of the thuggish autocrat and abusive PM #JohnHoward, could be felt in your core. Howard would divert attention from important things by pointing at #refugees on #boats, and #bribing people to #procreate. An awful man. We elected #KevinRudd who was visibly preparing to turn things around.

♡ #MoneyToPeople during the #GFC - not #banks.
♡ #MiningTax: He tried.
