Its a hammer blow to public trust in government funded #insulation schemes.
#ECO - Energy Company Obligation scheme and #GBIS - Great British Insulation Scheme were set up by the #Tories.
They are separate to the projects I’ve worked on which are #SHDF and #HUG.
I believe there was far less government oversight of ECO and GBIS.
More than 30,000 homes face damp or mould due to ill-fitted insulation, with a handful facing immediate risks like fires, a government watchdog warned. The energy department said it had plans to fix the issues at no cost to the household.
