So much so, I’m going to go back and watch perhaps my favourite episode - Bernie Clifton’s Dressing Room.
If you be not watched #InsideNumber9 I can highly recommend it. But surprisingly for an anthology you’ll have to watch it all before the final episode makes sense.
I’m slightly late to the party, so to speak, but I’ve just watched the finale of #InsideNumber9. Oh my goodness. That was incredible.
I didn’t actually appreciate what was going on until Reese Shearsmith came on screen and even then it took five minutes to realise he was playing himself and… well, I had to go back to the beginning.
What an utterly extraordinary, heartwarming, clever and brilliant round off to an incredible TV show.
#insidenumber9 is still the best thing on British TV. Each episode is different. Each episode is a joy.
How long will it be before Netflix picks this up like it did with Black Mirror?
Just watched The 12 Days of Christine episode of Inside Number 9 again.
Watching it for the first time cut me deeper than any TV I've ever seen, and it got me again this time.
Just brilliant.
Finished series 8 of Inside No. 9. Paraskevidekatriaphobia and Love Is A Stranger didn't hit it out of the park so I was worried the show was starting to decline but the end of the series was as strong as ever.
Ultimately the weakest episodes aren't any weaker than the "worse" ones in earlier series, the good ones are good even by the high bar it's set for itself, still one of the best things on UK TV. It's just not series 7.
Roll on the next series - the big one!
