Herec Hugo Haas (19. 2. 1901 - 1. 12. 1968) je dodnes symbolem noblesy prvorepublikových filmů. Známé jsou jeho aféry se ženami nebo spekulace o lásce ke kokainu. Už méně známý je jeho osud uprchlíka, kterým byl dalších třicet let po odchodu z Československa.
